BH RUO supplies laboratory research materials strictly for in-vitro research use by qualified researchers and laboratories. Our products are not drugs and are not for human or veterinary use.

Information we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order, register an account, request bulk pricing, or contact support, we collect the information needed to complete that request. This typically includes your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, shipping address, organization or laboratory name, and the contents of your message. For bulk and wholesale inquiries we may also collect information about your institution, intended research application, and purchasing authority.
Research-use confirmations. Before entering the store you are asked to confirm that you are at least 21 years of age and that you are a qualified researcher purchasing for in-vitro laboratory research only. We record that a confirmation was given, using a cookie stored on your device. We do not collect identity documents as part of that step.
Order and transaction records. We keep records of the products you purchase, order values, lot numbers assigned to your shipment, Certificate of Analysis records associated with those lots, shipping and tracking details, and correspondence relating to the order. Lot traceability records are retained as part of our quality and documentation obligations.
Payment information. BH RUO currently accepts payment by bank transfer and by invoice or wire transfer. When you pay by these methods we receive the remittance details your bank includes with the payment, together with any reference information you provide so we can match the payment to your order. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. If we introduce card payments in future, card details will be handled by a payment processor and this policy will be updated to identify that processor.
Account credentials. If you create an account, we store your username, email address, and a cryptographic hash of your password. We never store your password in readable form.
Technical and usage information. Like most websites, our servers automatically record information sent by your browser. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of each request. This information is used for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and understanding how the site is used.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, health information, or information about medical conditions. Please do not send us health information, personal medical questions, or descriptions of intended human or veterinary use. Requests of that nature may be declined and the correspondence may be deleted.
How we use your information
We use personal information to accept, verify, and fulfill orders; to arrange shipping and provide tracking; to issue invoices and process and reconcile payments; to provide customer support and respond to documentation requests; to maintain lot traceability and Certificate of Analysis records; to administer accounts; to prevent, detect, and investigate fraud, abuse, and prohibited use; to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations; to enforce our Terms and Conditions and research-use restrictions; and, where you have asked to hear from us, to send updates about products and availability.
We also use aggregated and de-identified information to understand demand, improve the website, and plan inventory. Aggregated information cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Legal bases for processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing, we rely on the following legal bases. Performance of a contract for taking and fulfilling your order, administering your account, and providing support. Legal obligation for tax, accounting, recordkeeping, and responding to lawful requests. Legitimate interests for site security, fraud prevention, enforcing research-use restrictions, and improving our products and service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights. Consent for marketing email and for non-essential cookies, which you may withdraw at any time.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the website to function. These include a cookie that keeps your shopping cart and session working, a cookie that records that you completed the researcher confirmation so you are not asked again on every visit, and a cookie that records that a newsletter invitation has already been shown to you. Necessary cookies cannot be switched off through the site because the store will not work correctly without them, but you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
We may also use analytics and advertising cookies or similar technologies, including tools provided by advertising platforms, to measure how visitors find and use the site and to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. Where these technologies are used in a way that requires consent or an opt-out under applicable law, we will provide the appropriate control. Because these tools change over time, the current set of third parties is described in the section below on sharing.
Most browsers let you refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, and warn you before a cookie is set. Blocking necessary cookies will prevent checkout from working.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. We disclose personal information only as described here.
Service providers. We use vendors who process information on our instructions in order to run the business. These include our website hosting and infrastructure provider, email delivery and support services, shipping carriers and logistics partners, our bank and payment reconciliation services, accounting and tax advisers, and, where used, analytics and advertising platforms. Service providers are permitted to use the information only to provide their service to us.
Shipping carriers. To deliver your order we provide the carrier with the recipient name, delivery address, telephone number, email address for delivery notifications, and package details.
Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request; where necessary to investigate potential violations of our Terms and Conditions or research-use restrictions; where necessary to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of BH RUO, our customers, or the public.
Business transfers. If BHPeptides, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to honor the commitments in this policy or will notify you of any material change.
International transfers
BHPeptides, LLC d/b/a BH RUO operates from the United States, and our hosting and service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you access the site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from the law of your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described above and to meet our legal obligations. In practice, order, invoice, and tax records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and commercial law, which is generally at least seven years. Lot traceability and Certificate of Analysis records are retained for the life of the record plus the period appropriate to product documentation. Account records are retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Support correspondence is retained for the period needed to resolve the matter and handle any related dispute. Marketing preferences are retained until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not contact you again. When information is no longer needed we delete it or de-identify it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of traffic to and from the website, access controls limiting who can view order and account data, password hashing, and monitoring for unusual activity. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. The right to know or access the personal information we hold about you and how we use and disclose it. The right to correct inaccurate personal information. The right to request deletion of your personal information. The right to receive a portable copy of information you provided to us. The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of certain targeted advertising, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. The right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
Some requests are subject to exemptions. We may need to retain information to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, maintain required product and lot documentation, detect or prevent fraud, or establish or defend legal claims. If we cannot fulfill a request in whole, we will explain why.
How to exercise your rights
Email support@bhruo.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and tell us which right you wish to exercise. To protect your information we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity, which usually means confirming details associated with your account or a recent order. We do not use verification information for any other purpose.
We acknowledge requests within ten business days and respond within forty-five calendar days where the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended applies, and within thirty days where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies. If we need more time we will tell you before the initial deadline and explain why. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
Marketing communications
If you opt in to our email updates, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by emailing us. We will continue to send transactional messages relating to your orders, such as order confirmations, shipping notifications, and documentation, because these are necessary to complete your purchase.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers and extensions may send a Do Not Track signal or a Global Privacy Control signal. There is no common industry standard for Do Not Track, and we do not currently respond to that signal. Where applicable law requires us to treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request, we will honor it.
Age restriction
Our website and products are intended solely for qualified researchers and laboratory purchasers who are at least 21 years of age. The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 21, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at support@bhruo.com.
Third-party links
Our website may link to third-party sites and resources, including carrier tracking pages and laboratory documentation. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If we make a material change we will provide additional notice, such as a notice on the website or an email to registered account holders. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
